And Why It’s Important To Know

When shopping for a DIY bed liner project, you’ll notice a recurring theme: clearance. And, most DIY bed liner kits are sold in quart sizes in order to keep your project in check. A quart is a standard paint can size, which means you can use the same system as a Raptor Bedliner.

Typically, every quart of Raptor Bedliner will cover about 15 square feet. This covers two coats and is just an average. Usually, the 1-quart can of the liner cover somewhere from 12 to 20 square feet.

Keep in mind that you may want to use multiple coats for added thickness and durability. I used 2 quarts for my 5.5-foot truck bed and am happy with the outcome.

One quart should be enough to cover your six-foot truck bed with one coat of bedliner. So, you’ll find more information about the raptor bed liner in terms of coverage below.

As mentioned earlier, a quart of the DIY liner will cover roughly 15 square feet. This is the size of a typical 6-foot truck bed. To cover your entire truck with the Raptor Bedliner, you may consider getting two more quarts of the liner.

Remember, as you plan to cover your truck with the bed liner, you need to prep the area. Meaning, you have to clean the surface and prepare it accordingly.

Typically, you will have to sand it and apply a primer on the truck. However, if the surface is new, avoid using a high-build primer since it will give you an inferior finish. Make sure that you use enough paint to cover the entire surface. Also, you could even use more than a quart for the bed, depending on your truck’s size.

If this is your first time DIY, consider getting more than one quart of liner for the truck bed. And remember that the remaining liner is better than having a half-finished bed because you were unsure of your truck’s bed size.

How Much Does a Quart of DIY Raptor Bedliner Cover?
