I think back on all the wonderful things that I have done in my life. Falling in love, getting married, having kids. They are all great and I wouldn’t pass them up for anything…ever! But one thing that I keep coming back to, the one thing that I miss, is having an adventure.
Overlanding Offers Adventure
Overlanding offers adventure. I have always been a restless person, always wanting to do the next thing or go on the next trip. For the last many years I have been focused on my career and starting and owning my own business. But for some reason, success has always eluded me. Whether it was an ill-fit business partnership or the wrong biz at the wrong time; I just never seemed to get there.
In recent years, I am yearning to get back out there. To travel and gain life experiences once again.
Overlanding is the Impetus To Get Back To Traveling
My wife and I like to travel but haven’t had many big trips in a long time. Overlanding can be that impetus to get back to a simpler way of traveling. A life that isn’t about going somewhere and staying in an expensive hotel, eating expensive foods, and going to a museum of other people’s accomplishments.
Overlanding Provides Freedom
But a life filled with memories of places traveled, mountains climbed, and love shared. What I want most from overlanding is freedom. The freedom to get up in the morning and choose the adventure for the day, the beautiful vista, or the off-the-beaten-path dive that makes the best chile.
Here’s to getting one step closer!
